The Interreg Annual Event took place in Bucharest, Romania on 22 and 23 May 2019.  There are 101 programmes across Europe aimed at bringing citizens closer together and strengthening cooperation among EU countries and between the EU and neighbouring countries.

This year’s Interreg Annual Event programme included three study visits to projects co-funded by the EU in Romania.  In the framework of the Youth4Regions competition, the European Commission has organized a contest for six aspiring young journalists who visited these same projects.  These projects give us a snapshot of the scale and variety of cooperation activities between Romania and its neighbours.   You now have the opportunity to read and compare their stories and to vote for the story that has really caught your imagination, by clicking here

The two young students who will have collected the highest number of your votes for their article or video will win the competition.  Please show them and their profession your appreciation by voting for the story of your choice by 14 June 2019.  The winners will be delighted to see you at the EU Regions Week in October.

They count on your support!
