Routes to Urban Research and Innovation

  • 13 April 2016
  • Amsterdam, Netherlands

For urban professionals and researchers there are multiple options to participate in European research projects on urban development. An example of this is the projects of the Joint Programming Initiative Urban Europe (JPI Urban Europe). What is the added value of European knowledge development on urban areas? And what is the best way to participate to gain this value? The RURI-event on Wednesday April 13 in Amsterdam will allow municipal managers, policy makers, researchers and other stakeholders to come together as part of one of the events for the Dutch presidency of the EU. The event will take place at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam. Several speakers from European urban areas will tell about their experiences. In several parallel workshops knowledge, best practices and experiences will be shared and the focus will lie on the ‘know-how’ of European knowledge development.
