Interreg Annual Meeting, 6-7 June 2016
The aim of the afternoon session on 6 June (1st day of the Interreg annual event 2016) was to learn about and get inspired by concrete achievements of Interreg programmes. Participants could choose among the visit of 3 Interreg projects implemented in a nearby cross-border area:
- 1. Cross-border health project on the French-Belgian border - Press release - Short Newspaper Article from "Nord Éclair"
- 2. Cross-border innovation products on the Flemish-Dutch border
- 3. Cross-border maritime safety project in the 2 Seas area (FR- BE- NL- UK)
After the 3 project visits, we will head towards the little Venice of the North to gather again for a networking dinner in the buildings of the former Oud Sint Jan hospital transformed into a congress center along the canal.
Interreg Website contest
Most of Interreg programmes already have new programme websites online and some are currently working on it. For most programmes, the website is the main communication tool and interface with project promoters/citizens. Therefore, to acknowledge the best creative ideas and communication efforts and to inspire the wider Interreg community, the best new websites were rewarded at the Annual Event in Brussels on 6-7 June. All 2014-2020 websites were reviewed in terms of originality, user-friendliness, transparency and focus on results. The first three ranked websites were awarded a trophy handed over by Mr Jakub ADAMOWICZ, Spokesman for Regional Policy and Transport.
The event also hosted stands on Macroregional Strategies and on Interreg and Migrants related measures.
