Programme description

Main objectives

The objective of the Operational Programme (OP) is to increase the competitiveness of the region, as well as to improve the quality of life in the Warminsko-Mazurskie region, by strengthening the region's key assets and decreasing the barriers to growth.

Funding priorities

The programme concentrates its resources on the following priorities:

  • 19% on support to enterprises and innovation (thematic objectives 1 & 3)
  • 16% on low-carbon economy (thematic objective 4)
  • 14 % on transport infrastructure (thematic objective 7).
  • ESF resources will focus mostly on labour market integration (12% on thematic objective 8) and also support social inclusion and education

Expected impacts

The main expected results are:

  • An increase in employment rate from 59,6% to 66%;
  • An increase of energy efficiency savings in public buildings and housing;
  • An improvement of connectivity of the region by road and rail;
  • An increase in the number of unemployed and inactive who found a job after support from the programme;
  • An increase of people who have improved their skills thanks to support by the programme;
  • Improved access to health services and education in the region;
  • A decrease in the share of population at risk of poverty (from 25% to 24,1% in 2013)
