Main objectives
The cooperation programme addresses the most important cross-border challenges in the northern part of the German-Polish border region. The region is characterised by its maritime and peripheral location and its existing socio-cultural and linguistic barriers.
Funding priorities
The Programme will focus on four main priorities:
- Natural and cultural heritage
- Transport and mobility
- Education and training schemes
- Cross-border cooperation between public institutions and citizens
Expected impacts
- Increased protection and conservation of the environment
- Development of joint cross-border activities for tourists
- Improving the quality of existing cross-border road connections in order to reduce bottlenecks
- Extending education and training courses, with a focus on the reduction of language barriers
- Intensifying inter-institutional cooperation
- contributing to citizens' better understanding of their neighbours
