Programme description
Objective
The objective of this multi-fund ERDF/ESF Operational Programme (OP) is to increase the competitiveness of the Małopolska Region, ensuring in parallel the improvement of the living conditions of its inhabitants.
Funding priorities:
The EU contribution will focus on the following main priorities:
- increase of R&D activities of enterprises;
- increase of productivity of SMEs;
- increase in access to public services through information and communication technologies;
- reduction of air pollution;
- improvement of transport accessibility of the region;
- increase employment and labour mobility;
- promote social cohesion;
- improve education and training.
Expected impact:
The expected results of the Programme implementation are among others:
- 720 companies to receive support for R&D activities;
- 50 public authorities to implement the recommendations on digital progress;
- 1,400 SMEs to receive support;
- 26,000 environmentally harmful heat generators to be replaced;
- 480 km of sewer network to be built;
- 270 km of roads to be newly built or upgraded;
- 40,000 unemployed people to receive support under the programme;
- 23,900 people at risk of poverty or social exclusion to receive support under the programme;
- 54,000 pupils to receive support under the programme to develop key skills;
- 370 ha within the region to be revitalised.
