Programme description

Main objectives

The programme aims to boost economic growth and contribute to achieving the Europe 2020 targets for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. It should create jobs and boost productivity, particularly in SMEs. The funding will concentrate in innovation and in Reasearch and Development. Investments in ICT will reduce the digital divide and improve services offered by the public sector, aiming also at boosting investments in the region. Finally, the programme will contribute to improve the energy efficiency of the region, reduce emissions and encourage the use of renewables.

Funding priorities

The Programme will focus on seven main priorities:

a) Research, technological development and innovation (€45 million)

b) Spread of digital services (€26 million)

c) Competitiveness of the productive system (€65 million)

d) Promoting a low-carbon economy (€23 million)

e) Reducing hydrogeological risk (€25 million)

f) Protecting and promoting natural and cultural resources (€15.5 million)

g) Sustainable urban development (23€ million)

Expected impact

  • Investment in over 400 SMEs
  • Facilitate the establishment of 120 new innovative SMEs
  • Support cooperation schemes between enterprises and R&D institutions and support 250 enterpises to develop innovative products
  • Create 220 new jobs, including researchers
  • Reduce by 1,890.00 tonnes CO2 emissions
