Programme description
The programme will focus on four areas that are crucial for job creation and growth in the area: supporting cross-border initiatives to strengthen research and innovation, supporting a shift towards a low carbon economy, improving the area's capacity to dealing with climate change and promoting a resource efficient economy.
Funding priorities
The programme will focus on the following four priorities:
- Technological and social innovation
- Low carbon technologies
- Adaptation to climate change
- Resource efficient economy
Some of the expected results
- 10% increase in the development of social innovation applications
- 5% increase in the delivery of innovation in smart specialisation sectors
- 10% increase in the adoption of low-carbon technologies
- 5% increase in the area’s adaptation capacity to climate change and its water-related effects
- 10% increase in the adoption of new solutions for a more efficient use of natural resources and in respect to the adoption of new circular economy solutions
