Het instrument voor technische ondersteuning is het belangrijkste instrument dat de Europese Commissie gebruikt om de lidstaten te ondersteunen bij het uitwerken en uitvoeren van inclusieve hervormingen die de groei bevorderen. Van gezondheidszorg tot gezonde overheidsfinanciën, van de digitalisering van het onderwijs en overheidsdiensten tot het versterken van het ondernemersklimaat en de financiële sector: het instrument voor technische ondersteuning helpt de EU-lidstaten bij hun hervormingsagenda.

Technical Support Instrument 2022 Annual Conference

On 5 May, the European Commission organised the 2022 Technical Support Instrument Annual Conference, to highlight the importance of the Technical Support Instrument for the successful design and implementation of key reforms in the Member States.

Furthermore, the conference addressed, in particular in the context of the recent crises (COVID 19 pandemic, Russian invasion of Ukraine), whereby Member States need to strengthen further their resilience and the structural capacities of their administrations. The conference also marked the official launch of the TSI 2023.

De Europese Commissie kiest regelmatig een project waarop zij speciaal de aandacht wil vestigen. Deze zogenaamde "projecten in de kijker" op uiteenlopende beleidsterreinen en in verschillende landen worden geselecteerd op grond van hun doeltreffende uitvoering, hun veelbelovende resultaten op het terrein en hun potentieel dat voor de hele EU als model kan dienen. De Commissie probeert op deze manier goede praktijken te stimuleren.

Establishing a digital justice strategy for the Maltese Justice Sector

The European Commission supported the co-ordination of past and future IT initiatives while preparing for a Digital Justice Strategy in line with European good practices, as well as the development of a digital justice strategy and an accompanying action plan through a comprehensive consultation process of all stakeholders and targeted and operational recommendations.

The new Digital Justice Strategy shall finally benefit to court users and ultimately the entire population of Malta, which will benefit directly and indirectly from the digitalisation and improved efficiency and quality of the Maltese judicial system.

Het directoraat-generaal voor de ondersteuning van structurele hervormingen van de Europese Commissie coördineert de inspanningen van de Commissie ter ondersteuning van het proces voor de hereniging van Cyprus dat door de Verenigde Naties wordt geleid. DG Reform is ook verantwoordelijk voor de uitvoering van het EU-hulpprogramma voor de Turks-Cypriotische gemeenschap en het toezicht op de zogenaamde groenelijnverordening.
