The EU AgriResearch Conference is dedicated to scientists, farmers, rural communities, industry, advisors, policy-makers, citizens and NGO representatives who wish to learn about EU agriculture and rural R&I activities and achievements and to have their say on how to shape the future of agriculture R&I after 2020. The next FET seminar “Artificial photosynthesis: From basic principles to technological impact”, organised by DG CONNECT, DG RTD and DG ENER, will focus on presenting how the artificial photosynthesis works.
A total of 57 small and medium-sized companies have been selected for funding under the recently launched European Innovation Council (EIC) pilot. The companies, selected following face-to-face interviews with a jury of innovators, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, will receive a total amount of €94.25 million.

They cover a broad range of issues from disease management to value chains and are a cornerstone of the EIP-AGRI. The Business Idea Competition 2018 seeks at supporting idea holders aiming at embracing the venture path and wanting more training in entrepreneurship. It is jointly organised by EIT Health, EIT RawMaterials and EIT Food to improve cross-sectoral innovation performance, with a special focus on - but not limited to - EIT RIS eligible countries, along the following thematic areas: Food, Health and Raw Materials.
The EIT Information Day was held for the 2018 Call for Proposals for two new Innovation Communities, EIT Urban Mobility and EIT Manufacturing.
The EIT Information Day gave innovators interested in forming one of these Innovation Communities an unrivalled opportunity to hear what’s needed and what’s expected.
