Have you ever heard of ESOF? It is Europe's largest scientific conference, and takes place every two years. The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) have a tradition of holding a satellite event on the margin of the main ESOF Conference. This satellite conference is dedicated to the Marie Curie Fellows and Alumni, and has a specific theme that is relevant to the career development of Marie Curie Fellows. The next edition will be in Copenhagen from 21-26 June 2014, the MSCA satellite event will take place on 19-20 June 2014.
The 2014 edition of MSCA ESOF Conference will focus on the acquisition of transferrable skills (except communication which was the theme of 2012 edition). What are transferrable skills? those are the skills that are not directly relevant to research or science but help researchers in their everyday professional lives such as management, intellectual property rights, marketing, etc. At MSCA we believe that the acquisition of transferrable skills is a key element in the training of the next generation of researchers, this is why we will organise dedicated workshops during this conference as well as other activities, such as an elevator pitch contest, a poster session, etc.
More information to come at the beginning of 2014
