Title: Intercultural dialogue and civic participation against stigmatizatiom of migrants and refuguees.
Summary
The aim of FORUM is to combat the stigmatization of migrants and refugees, with special attention to the women situation, through intercultural dialogues, raising the knowledge about the EU policies and promoting a democratic and civic participation, particularly within groups that are less involved in the UE policy making-process. Pursuant to this aim, the projects specific objectives are:-To foster intercultural dialogues, not only to exchange views between cultures, but to analyse the migration and asylum EU policies and to collect proposals to advocate with European institutions-To raise the knowledge about EU policies and values, contributing to the development of an EU identity engaged with the Human Rights, Freedom, Gender Equality and Democracy-To promote solidarity, volunteering and active participation of EU citizens in order to create cohesion and to respond to societal challenges such as rights access for migrant women, inequality or the recent refugees and migration crisis. -To strengthen civil society, local actors and organizations made up of, or engaged with, migrants and refugees. More than 1000 participants from France, Ireland, Italy, Belgium and Spain will be involved in the achievement of the project outcomes which will be reached through: Conferences and intercultural debates; Courses; Discussion groups and webinars; the Elaboration of a report compiling recommendations on EU policies related to stigmatization of migrants and refugee; An Awareness Campaign carried out by Volunteer groups; the Elaboration of a final project report and a presentation of project resultsThis project responds to societal challenges such as rights access for migrant women or the refugees and migration crisis. Its key feature is to transfer proposals from citizens to EU policy makers in order to ensure a participative elaboration of the New EU Migration Pact as well as to provide a base research that connect with the aims of Europe for citizens Program 2021-2027
