What is the opportunity?
Erasmus+ offers the opportunity for adult education organisations to send or receive adult education staff for teaching assignments, as well as to give or receive training.
How does it work?
Organisations wanting to take part in these opportunities can either apply as an individual organisation, or as part of a "national mobility consortium"; a group of adult education organisations managed by a single coordinating organisation.
These organisations fall into one of three main categories:
- Applicant Organisations - responsible for applying for and managing the project and also acting as a sending organisation,
- Sending Organisations - an organisation in charge of selecting staff to send abroad and managing grant payments,
- Receiving Organisations - responsible for receiving staff from abroad.
Receiving organisations must be course providers if staff are to receive structured courses or participate in a training event. In other cases, the receiving organisation can be any relevant organisation active in the field, but must outline the objectives and activities in advance, as well as the rights and obligations of all parties.
Organisations applying as a consortium must all be based in the same country, and must all be identified at the application. All participating organisations must be based in a Programme Country.
How do you apply?
The application process is managed by the National Agency of where the applicant organisation or consortium is based. An organisation or consortium can only apply once per round of selections, although organisations can take part in or coordinate several different consortia.
