Large-scale European Voluntary Service events

How to Apply

Organisations interested in applying should consult the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency Website (EACEA).

What is the opportunity?

Erasmus+ offers the opportunity for organisations to manage a project in the framework of European or worldwide events consisting of at least 30 European Voluntary Service (EVS) volunteers.

How does it work?

Organisations wishing to participate may do so if they are a public or private organisation established in a Programme Country and are directly involved in the organisation of a European or an international event in the field of youth, culture or sport.

Organisations may also participate if they have obtained a formal cooperation agreement from the event organisers.

What else should you know?

Organisations carrying out a large-scale EVS event should expect to prepare, carry out, and follow-up on the activity, including tasks such as selecting participants, preparing them prior to the event, and evaluation the activities.

Organisations can also limit themselves to complementary activities, such as organising activities on the side of event to promote the value of volunteering and the European Voluntary Service.

Volunteers must be aged between 17-30, and can take part through unpaid, full-time volunteer work for up to two months abroad.

Projects must be of between 3-12 months in duration, and must take place in the same country as the event.

How do you apply?
