Erasmus+ at the European Association for International Education conference
This year the event takes place in Liverpool, UK, from 13 – 16 September. Almost 200 sessions or seminars are organised. If last year's event is anything to go on, some 5,000 higher education professionals and practitioners ‒ principally from Europe, but also from other parts of the world ‒ will attend. An exhibition will house 215 stands.
The European Commission and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency are regulars at this annual EAIE event, and this year is no exception. Representatives will be speakers in a number of sessions that have been proposed. Subjects of these will include the modernisation agenda, support for researchers and academics from war zones, mapping the international dimension of Erasmus+ and Online Language Support. Other organisations have also invited the Commission to speak in their sessions on online learning agreements, higher education in the Sustainable Development Goals, and how to work together to promote European higher education in the world.
There will be a Commission stand in the exhibition area for mini-presentations and networking, assisted by Erasmus alumni.
