Using the search

From Creative Europe Help - 5 October 2016 01:17 PM

Searching for Creative Europe and Culture projects is easy.

When accessing the Creative Europe landing page, simply type one or more keywords into the search box and click on the Search button (on the left) or press "enter".

Please note that:
•    When typing a keyword in the search bar, the word should count at least 3 characters otherwise the search will not be executed.
•    When searching by keyword, the system will retrieve the projects which contain the typed word(s) either in the project name (identifier), or in project title, or in the project description, or in the subject field.

Even in a simple search you are given the possibility to limit the scope of your search to "ongoing projects" (project which are running at the moment of your search) or "finalised projects" (projects whose implementation has finished at the moment of your search). By default the system searches in "All projects" (ongoing and finalised).

Performing searches using advanced criteria

The system allows you to restrict your search using more specific criteria. To have access to the set of advanced search criteria, click on "Show advanced criteria" under the Search button.
By default, the advanced search criteria proposed are related to project properties.
In case you want to find projects (or results) in function of the organisations involved, click on the "by Organisation Criteria" tab.
If you wish to return to the project related search criteria, click on the "by Project Criteria".
To hide the advanced search and go back to simple search, click on "Hide advanced criteria".

When searching projects using advanced search criteria related to projects, the system allows you to specify the following criteria:
•    The funding programme, sub-programme, action/funding scheme
•    One or several years during the lifetime of the project.
•    One or several countries involved in the project.
•    One or several activity types.
•    Keywords within the project name, title, description and subject.

When searching projects using advanced search criteria related to organisations, the system allows you to specify following criteria:
•    One or more countries of the organisations involved in the project
•    One or several organization types
•    Organization name
The button "clear filters" clean all the selected criteria.

Listing search results

When you perform a search (simple or advanced), the system returns a list of results, displaying for each item the project title and description (limited to the first 200 characters), the starting year and the involved countries (limited to the first 6 in the list).

The system sorts the list of results showing by default the most recent (most recently updated) projects at the top of the list, but it allows you to change the sorting criterion. To change the ordering, use the "Order by" drop-down box located under the "Search" button that offers several ordering criteria (by starting year, alphabetically).

Consulting project details

You can consult the details of a project simply by clicking on the title of the project in the results' list. The system will open the project card in a separate tab of your browser. The project information is organized around 4 tabs: "Project Details", "Coordinator", "Partners" and "Results".

The "Project Details" tab displays the project basic information (title of the project, description, identifier, start and end dates, the details of the coordinator, etc).
The "Coordinator" tab provides you information about the organisation which leads the project.
The "Partners" tab displays the list of organizations involved in the project. You can visualise the contact details of each organization by clicking on the organization name or on the "expand" sign. By clicking again the information collapses.
The "Results" tab presents the list of results (concrete outcomes) produced by the project.  The details of each result are visible by clicking on the result's name or on the "expand" sign. By clicking again, the displayed information is collapsed.
