Libra Internet Bank and the European Investment Fund have signed a guarantee agreement that will support €10 million worth of loans to small and medium-sized businesses in Romania.
With guarantees from the European Investment Bank, Libra Internet Bank will launch a new financial product. It is expected to channel around RON 45 million (€10 million) to over 200 firms.
Romania is the third country where loans supported by the Cultural and Creative Sector Guarantee Facility will become available. Financial intermediaries in both Spain and France have already signed up in recent months. A call for financial intermediaries across the EU is open until 30 September 2020.
