The 2016 MaMA festival will be taking place from 12-14 October in the heart of Paris, featuring 120 concerts in three days.

Some of the most emblematic venues of Paris, including Montmartre and Pigalle, will play host to France's best known artists, as well as featuring artists from around the world.

Alongside the festival, the MaMA Convention will bring together some 5,000 of the leading figures in the music industry for over 50 conferences and debates, including representatives of the European Commission.

Karel Bartak, Head of Unit of the Creative Europe programme, will be presenting the European Commission's "Music Moves Europe" initiative, outlining Europe's new strategy for the music industry. The presentation will be made during a press conference in l'Elysée Montmartre on 12 October at 11:45.

In the afternoon, Mr. Bartak will be taking part in a discussion panel on music in the European Union at l'Elysée Montmartre from 15:00-16:15.

On Friday 14 October at 15:00 there will be a retrospective of the Creative Europe AB Music workshops, discussing innovation and data, at the Trianon forum.

The MaMA website has more information on both the agenda of the Convention, as well as the music fixtures for the festival.
