An event to present European Capital of Culture 2016, San Sebastian, Spain, will be held in Brussels on 12 November 2015.

San Sebastian holds the European Capital of Culture 2016. It will be an important year not only for those who live or coexist in the city and the region, but also for those regions in Europe and outside its frontiers that share a violent past and are working hard on building a peaceful and respectful society.

With the motto 'Culture for coexistence', DSS2016EU has the ambitious and challenging aim of improving coexistence through culture and creating a unique precedent in Europe. DSS2016EU is an innovative and unique project, whose most important results could only be measured in the long term.
