Creative Europe’s mobility scheme for artist, creators and cultural professionals launches call for architecture.

On 15 January 2021, i-Portunus opened a Call for Applications for architects, cultural professionals active in architecture.

They can apply to the call for short-term mobility in the context of

  • international collaboration
  • a production-oriented residency
  • professional development activities.

Successful candidates can use the funding to travel abroad between 16 June and 30 November 2020, depending on current coronavirus rules.

The duration of the travels can range between 7 and 60 days and the maximum amount of the grant is €3000 per individual.

The deadline for applications is 14 March 2021.

2 consortia implementing i-Portunus

The European Commission selected 2 consortia to implement i-Portunus, the pilot project for mobility funded under Creative Europe.

Background

In May 2018, the European Commission published its A New European Agenda for Culture” which sets out objectives for cooperation at EU level and proposes 25 priority actions. One of these is to encourage “the mobility of professionals in the cultural and creative sectors”. i-Portunus projects are selected and funded by Creative Europe, the EU programme for culture.
