- Monday, 22 October, 2018
- Bozar, Brussels
Young Talent Architecture Award (YTAA) winners and shortlisted participants from Europe and Asia will meet and discuss about heritage with Pritzker Prize Wang Shu and Belgian architect Paul Robbrecht.
As part of the European Year of Cultural Heritage and forthcoming ASEM Cultural Festival (18-30 October 2018) at BOZAR a discussion will be held with YTAA winners and participants from Europe (Poland, Germany) and Asia (Korea, China).
The YTAA presentation will be followed by a debate between Chinese architect Wang Shu (Pritzker Prize 2012) and Belgian architect Paul Robbrecht. The exchange of ideas will focus on the role of cultural legacy in their respective architectural work and discuss convergences and differences in the way European and Asian architects/designers deal with the topic of heritage in their contemporary projects.
YTAA aims to support the talent of recently graduated architects, urban planners and landscape architects by rewarding the best diploma projects of the last two years in Europe and beyond.
YTAA is a joint initiative of Creative Europe, the Fundació Mies van der Rohe, the Architects’ Council of Europe and the European Association for Architectural Education.
