    Aim(s) of a study programme: The aim of the study programme of Italian Philology is to prepare highly qualified specialists in Italian Philology, to provide students with a firm basis in linguistics and literature, with a strong proficiency in Italian (C1-C2), with a proper understanding of the culture of Italy, with the capacity to analyse and evaluate the Italian language and literature in the broader context of worldwide linguistics and literature, in addition to teach them to think critically, to learn independently and to work collectively in a multicultural environment.     Learning outcomes: Knowledge and its application: A1 Knows and understands the distinction and evolution of Lithuanian culture in global context; possesses general knowledge in social, physical, biomedical and technological sciences.     Objective(s) of a study programme: The program of studies of the BA in English Philology aims at preparing English philology specialists with a broad range of knowledge who know English well, grasp the fundamental philological information and acquire the competences necessary for scholarly work in translation, literary theory and teaching the English language, as well as being able to successfully apply their knowledge of English philology in practice.     Objective(s) of a study programme: The aim of the English and German Philology first-cycle study programme is to educate specialists in philology who are competent in two foreign languages, English and German, and have a broad sociocultural background, and to develop students’ skills in applying language knowledge in such broad areas as linguistics, language teaching, translation, and literature.
