    Das Fach Chemie befasst sich mit den drei Teilgebieten der Chemie, d.h. der biologischen Chemie, der Materialchemie und der computergestützten Chemie. Im Fach werden die Prinzipien, Gesetze, Techniken und Methoden der Chemie behandelt. Das Lehramtsstudium besteht aus Modulen. Zuerst die Einführung in die Fachdidaktik Chemie, die in weiterer Folge vertieft wird.     Biological chemistry includes the areas of chemistry, biochemistry and biology. In this subject chemical and molecular biology-related ways of thinking and methods are taught and studied. Compulsory subjects are general and inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology, informatics, communication and ethics, mathematics and physics, molecular biology, organic chemistry and physical chemistry. Students also have to study a certain number of elective subjects. The degree programme is a joint programme of the University of Linz and the University of Budweis. The first, second and fifth semester will be studied at the University of Linz, the third and fourth semester at the University of Budweis.     The degree programme Atmosphere Sciences deals with the nature and the processes of the atmo-, hydro-, cryo- and lithosphere. The bachelor programme contains on one hand compulsory modules in mathematics 1,2,3, physics 1,2, introduction to atmosphere, introduction to chemistry and geophysics, instrument studies and basic practical training, radiation, micrometeorology, thermodynamics, synoptic meteorology 1, 2 programming, Alps and Europe, geoinformation 1, remote sensing, solid earth, gases and aerosols and climate, glaciology, hydrology. On the other hand students can broaden their knowledge in the elective subjects. There they can choose either the module gender research or interdisciplinary competences. But it is also possible to choose the module “practice” and to do a subject-relevant work placement in a non-university institution to put their knowledge and skills to the test and to apply them in practice.     The subject Astronomy deals with the science of the universe, the celestial bodies (planets, stars, galaxies) and the outer space. The teaching of methodological and theoretical knowledge of astronomy and computer skills are central aspects. The orientation period contains the modules “Introduction into Astronomy I” and “Introduction into Astronomy II”. The bachelor programme consists of 19 compulsory modules: the mathematical and physical basics of Astronomy I and II, Introduction into Physics I, II and III, the astronomical beginners practical training, numerical methods of astronomy, Analysis for Physicists I and II, Astrophysics I, linear algebra for physicists, Astronomical Instruments I, history of science / theory of science / philosophy and practical training in an observatory. Alternatively Astrophysics II or Astronomical Instruments II can be chosen as a specialisation. Moreover elective modules from biology, chemistry, earth sciences, mathematics or physics can be studied. For the bachelor degree in Astronomy two bachelor theses are required.
