Objective(s) of a study programme:
Mobile Technologies study program is aimed to prepare programmers able to design, create, develop and administer mobile software using innovative technologies, understanding the application of up-coming technologies in modern society, as well as the importance of individual lifelong learning.
The graduates of Mobile Technologies study program will
Know and understand:
Natural, humanities and social science knowledge necessary for developing professional activities and global view
Conceptual basics and principles of mathematics and informatics
Will be able to:
Run computer and mobile hardware, install and configure software and systems.
Apply computer network, wireless technologies to create safe software.
Compare, evaluate and select mobile software tools for creation and development.
Analyze company demand and opportunities to create new or update mobile applications.
Use multimedia technologies for creating software.
Design, create, configure, test and develop mobile applications, their servers using innovative technologies and methods, prepare documentation, assess quality, economic, social and legal context.
Ensure effective communication of mobile programs and cloud technologies.
Create mobile applications with functional user interface
Work in traditional and virtual groups and interdisciplinary teams.
Analyze self-achieved results, work and study independently.
Activities of teaching and learning:
Lectures, laboratory works, seminars, discussions, practical assignment implementation, project development, case study, group work, simulation games, modelling simulations, debates, observation and demonstration, arranging exercises, information research and analysis.
Methods of assessment of learning achievements:
Applied 10- point assessment system: formative, summative and accumulative continuous evaluation which consists of tests, laboratory work, exams (oral and written), presentations, reports, project evaluation with possibility to examine learners acquisition level and correspondence to study results. Main evaluation – Qualification Commission‘s final thesis evaluation.

Students will study subjects of general higher education, basics on informatics studies and advanced professional (mobile technologies) subjects:
Professional Foreign Language, Physics, Information Technologies Law, Basics of Economics, Mathematics, Theory of Probability and Mathematical Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, Theory of Algorithms, Computers‘ Architecture and Operating Systems, Programming, Object-oriented Programming, Computers Networks, Information and Database administration, Human and Computer Interaction, Computer Graphics and Visualization, Mobile Equipment Architecture and Administration, Cloud Computing, Basics of Mobile Application and Technologies, Wireless Connection and safety, Basics of Website Building, Administration of Information Technology Projects, Network Design, Mobile Multimedia (Project), Mobile Games Creation, Final Thesis (Project).
During studies students will have 4 practice placements (20 weeks in total):
Information Technologies Practice I, Information Technologies Practice II,
Professional Practice, Final Practice.
Students will be able to choose 3 optional study subjects (9 ECTS).
Distinctive features of a study programme:
Mobile technologies and related study subjects are analysed in depth in the study program. Study program is implemented in modern laboratories and virtual work stations. Modern and mixed study methods and ways are applied.
