    MUSEOLOGY/ MUSEUM STUDIES Knowledge, skills and abilities On completion of study, the student should be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities: 1. Knowledge and understanding 1.1 The student should have a knowledge of the basic precepts, theories, facts and concepts of Museology. 1.2 The student should understand the critical viewpoints used in Museology. 1.3 The student should have a general overview of the main features of Museology and Museum Studies. 1.4 The student should have an understanding of the different viewpoints and methods used un research in Museology. 1.5 The student should have attained basic skills in the key research methods used in Museology. 1.6 The student should have attained basic skills in the assessment of source value and be able to work with sources in a recognised fashion, making his/ her own value assessments. 2.
