The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is a translation tool that helps communication and comparison between qualifications systems in Europe. Its eight common European reference levels are described in terms of learning outcomes: knowledge, skills and competences. This allows any national qualifications systems, national qualifications frameworks (NQFs) and qualifications in Europe to relate to the EQF levels. Learners, graduates, providers and employers can use these levels to understand and compare qualifications awarded in different countries and by different education and training systems.

The subject of the programme is to provide quality knowledge on issues connecting Didactics with Natural Sciences, Informatics and Computers, Engineering and Mathematics, as well as the promotion of research in this scientific field. The objective purposes of the programme are the following: A. Supporting research on the didactics of the natural sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), Informatics and Computation Science, Engineering and Mathematics. B. The creation of an organisational structure for the development of a depository about the above cognitive subjects. C. Production of specialised scientific and research workforce, specialised on the above cognitive subjects, who are called to reduce the chasm between the technological potential and the reality, and submit proposals connecting Didactics to these subjects within the context of the research and development programmes of the European Union. D. The preparation of education employees and educators for the development of best practices for the analytical programmes for education. E. Production and use of materials produced by the postgraduate programme on teaching of the undergraduate students of the School of Pedagogical & Technological Education (ASPETE). ...
