Due to the multi-faceted character of tourism and the respective interdisciplinary character of education and research on issues of design, administration, and policy, the Postgraduate Studies Programme offers a comprehensive education programme which is focused on the following fields: a) tourism research (social, anthropological, statistical, geographical, and environmental), b) on the design of tourism at a national, regional and local level, c) on the analysis of the method for the administration and operation of tourism businesses, d) on the methods for promoting and selling tourism products, e) on the investigation of the basic parameters for sustainable tourism development, f) on the promotion of IT applications for tourism, g) on determining the major parameters of a tourism policy. Special emphasis is paid on the interdisciplinary approach of tourism and of its financial, social, environmental, and cultural aspects. As a result, the graduates of the Postgraduate Studies Programme may find employment in the following: 1. Research centres for macroeconomics, microeconomics and sociology studies regarding tourism. 2.
