The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is a translation tool that helps communication and comparison between qualifications systems in Europe. Its eight common European reference levels are described in terms of learning outcomes: knowledge, skills and competences. This allows any national qualifications systems, national qualifications frameworks (NQFs) and qualifications in Europe to relate to the EQF levels. Learners, graduates, providers and employers can use these levels to understand and compare qualifications awarded in different countries and by different education and training systems.

    Graduates have an advanced knowledge of agronomy and are able to pursue independent scientific, developmental and pedagogical work, as well as the highest-level expert work. In addition to a familiarity with fields covering biology and agro-technology, they have also mastered fundamental knowledge in other fields (pedology, meteorology) and basic knowledge in marketing, economics and organisation of agricultural production processes, with which they have mastered modern methods of managing agricultural holdings.     Graduates have key agro-economic knowledge in the field of agriculture and related disciplines. They master microeconomic principles to analyse existing production and price relationships in the product market and production factors. They have recognised the need for a clear definition and delineation between mutually dependent microeconomic concepts and are capable of independent research work, applying relevant quantitative methods of economic evaluation with the objective of determining achieved levels of economic efficiency in agricultural management and competitive ability of domestic producers and the food processing industry.
