Programos tikslai: Paruošti aukštos kvalifikacijos informatikos specialistus, kurie turi: a) gerai orientuotis pagrindinėse informatikos mokslo kryptyse ir šiuolaikinėse informacinėse technologijose, mokėti pagrįsti ir įvertinti savo ir kitų specialistų mokslinės-praktinės veiklos rezultatus ir vietą šiuolaikinės informatikos kontekste; b) mokėti savarankiškai formuluoti ir spręsti aktualias informatikos mokslo ir informacinių technologijų taikymo praktines problemas įvairiose dalykinėse srityse; c) būti pasirengę tęsti studijas informatikos ir gretimų mokslo krypčių magistrantūroje ir kitose antrosios pakopos studijose. 2.
