The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is a translation tool that helps communication and comparison between qualifications systems in Europe. Its eight common European reference levels are described in terms of learning outcomes: knowledge, skills and competences. This allows any national qualifications systems, national qualifications frameworks (NQFs) and qualifications in Europe to relate to the EQF levels. Learners, graduates, providers and employers can use these levels to understand and compare qualifications awarded in different countries and by different education and training systems.

  10. Master of Social Sciences in Law (LU)

    - to study courses of the compulsory part encompassing topical aspects of philosophy of law, public administration and communication psychology; - to master course of the compulsory elective part encompassing one of specialisation fields (public law and administrative law, theory of law, history of law and political sciences, civil law, criminal law, international law); - to study skills of independent research in the selected study field; to write 3 scientific papers; - to master the course of pedagogy of higher education establishments and a course of adult further learning; - to develop and defend Master's thesis (23 credit points) in the selected sub-discipline of law referring to a relevant legal aspect.
