1.3. technological documentation used by the companies;
1.4. rationing of turning works;
1.5. business communication.
2. KNOWLEDGE at the level of understanding:
2.1. geometry of cutting instruments;
2.2. sharpening devices of cutting instruments;
2.3. abrasive disks, their materials and types;
2.4. ancillary devices and their usage;
2.5. materials to process and their specifics;
2.6. cooling materials, necessity of their usage;
2.7. oiling materials, necessity of their usage;
2.8. quality determining methods of surface processing;
2.9. the latest metal cutting technologies including computer numerical controllers (CNC);
2.10. professional  terms in the official language and one foreign language.
3. KNOWLEDGE at the  level of use:
3.1. basic drawing and reading of drawings;
3.2. sequence of turning technological processes;
3.3. choice of cutting modes and setting;
3.4. calculations of the cutting modes;
3.5. types of preparation installations;
3.6. the process of creating shingles;
3.7.  cutting tools and their usage;
3.8. setting rules and methods for cutting tools;
3.9. methods of processing outer and inner cylindrical surfaces and final surfaces;
3.10. threads, their types and cutting methods by using worm wheels, screw-taps and screw-cutters;
3.11. conic surfaces and their turning;
3.12. make surfaces, make cutters and usage;
3.13. surface design;
3.14. turning of non-stiff shafts, stays, their installation and fastening;
3.15. ancillary devices and their usage (chuck, four-jaw chuck, cone processing ruler);
3.16. types of control instruments and measuring instruments, their usage;
3.17. fits and clearances;
3.18. precision indicators of surface processing (size, shape, precision of reciprocal placing of the surfaces and surface roughness).

Skills:

1. To read the drawing of the work.
2. To select the component production sequence.
3. To choose the necessary cutting tools, equipment and ancillary materials for performance of the task.
4. To sharpen the cutting tools.
5. To set the cutting tools and cutting mode.
6. To fasten the preparation, install the necessary ancillary devices.
7. To process the outer and inner cylindrical and final surfaces.
8. To process the components which are difficult to install.
9. To process the outer and inner conic surfaces.
10. To process the outer and inner make surfaces.
11. To carry out the surface finish (lapping, polishing, plastic deformation of the surface, roll burnishing of corrugation).
12. To use cutting tools.
13. To determine the surface processing precision of the component produced (size, shape, precision and surface roughness of reciprocal placing of the surfaces).
14. To cut the outer and inner threads with worm wheels, screw-taps and chisels.
