The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is a translation tool that helps communication and comparison between qualifications systems in Europe. Its eight common European reference levels are described in terms of learning outcomes: knowledge, skills and competences. This allows any national qualifications systems, national qualifications frameworks (NQFs) and qualifications in Europe to relate to the EQF levels. Learners, graduates, providers and employers can use these levels to understand and compare qualifications awarded in different countries and by different education and training systems.

    The aim of the programme is to ensure students' acquisition of theoretical knowledge in chemistry and its sub-branches, as well as to develop skills and abilities of scientific research work. An opportunity to obtain knowledge, corresponding to contemporary level, skills of independent planning and doing researches and competence for work in the spheres of biomedicine and chemistry of renewable resources have been ensured. Within the study programme theoretical and practical knowledge in chemistry science and its sub-branches heva been obtained. Specialists of chemistry of renewable resources have gained understanding of contents and possible application modes of renewable resources, chemical reactions in the process of processing and chemical indicators of quality of finished products, as well as topical current global and local problems in the sphere of application of material resources and their possible solutions.     The aim of the programme is to ensure students' acquisition of theoretical knowledge in chemistry and its sub-branches, as well as to develop skills and abilities of scientific research work. An opportunity to obtain knowledge, corresponding to contemporary level, skills of independent planning and doing researches and competence for work in the spheres of biomedicine and chemistry of renewable resources have been ensured.   3. Bachelor of Natural Sciences in Geology (LU)

    - to master the fundamental knowledge of physics, chemistry, geography and environment science underlying understanding of geology; - to acquire theoretical courses of geology in all the basic sub-branches of geology; - mineralogy, petrography, sedimentology, quaternary geology and geomorphology, hydrogeology, engineering geology, geology of minerals, palaeontology, stratigraphy, structural geology, tectonics; - to acquire field and laboratory research methods in main sub-branches of geology; - to master practical skills of geological research in the field; - to carry out independent research (not less than 10 full time weeks or 10 credit points) in the selected sub-branch of geology and present the result in the Bachelor's thesis.   4. Bachelor of Natural Sciences in Geography (LU)

    The aim of the programme is to create an opportunity for students to acquire knowledge and understanding of physics, development of scientific research skills and abilities that allow to continue studies in physics or engineering at a higher level, - as well as promote student becoming a free, responsible and creative personality. Within the programme key concepts, fundamental laws, principles, theories, and understanding of the general and theoretical physics, - physical research and measurement methodology, higher mathematics and computer science have been acquired.
