  10. Business Finance, MS

The MS programme in corporate finance assumes that, already at the commencement of their studies, students will manifest independent work procedures, plan their own work and comply with the timing requirements laid down in the programme. The study path is highly flexible with a relatively small core element since students are expected to have acquired sound basic knowledge in the field before they embark on the programme. Consequently, students are, for the most part, free to select their own options; for example focusing on corporate finance, accounting or financial markets. This wide choice is based on cooperation with other paths of study, for example the M.Acc programme in the Faculty of Business Administration or the MS programme in finance in the Faculty of Economics, as well as courses offered in direct connection with this study path itself. This variety is reflected in the learning outcomes which differ significantly, depending on the areas of emphasis for which the students have opted. After completing the programme, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge, skills and competence as outlined below: 1. The students’ knowledge comprises the following 1.1. The student has an understanding of finance and is familiar with the main theories relating to the discipline. 1.2.
