The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is a translation tool that helps communication and comparison between qualifications systems in Europe. Its eight common European reference levels are described in terms of learning outcomes: knowledge, skills and competences. This allows any national qualifications systems, national qualifications frameworks (NQFs) and qualifications in Europe to relate to the EQF levels. Learners, graduates, providers and employers can use these levels to understand and compare qualifications awarded in different countries and by different education and training systems.

KNOWLEDGE- The graduates of the PSP have specialised knowledge of theoretical and practical orientation, that relate to the environment and sustainable development in the context of modern learning theories, as well as of pedagogical and educational views. - They have a systematic perception of the environment, through the lens of its natural, financial, social, and cultural dimension, while at the same time approaching the basic segments of the educational sciences, in an effort to combine formal, non-formal, informal and lifelong learning with the environment and sustainable development. - They have advanced and specialised knowledge about the subject of the research in the field of education for the environment and sustainable development, both at a level of theoretical framework and at an application level, with the purpose of recording the existing state of play, the generation of new ideas, the development of innovative educational methods and techniques, the improvement and design of programmes for the education and training of educators and other professional groups of the population, and for the support of pedagogics, Education about the Environment, and Sustainable Development.
