    Evrópa unga fólksins (Europe for young people) is a service and knowledge centre for youth work in Iceland. The office awards grants from the Erasmus+ programme to youth projects and assists those who apply for such grants in creating good projects.   2. Government grants for studying Icelandic as a second language

    The Icelandic Ministry of Education, Science and Culture awards annually a number of scholarships for studies in Icelandic as a second language at the University of Iceland, Reykjavík. The scholarship program is administrated by the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies. Approximately 15 scholarships are available for the period from September 1st 2014 to April 30th 2015. The scholarships are intended for students of modern Icelandic. Students who have completed at least one or two academic years of university study and with some prior knowledge of Icelandic or other Nordic language will be given priority.   5. University Centre of the Westfjords

    University Students in the Westfjords (living in the Westfjords or studying at the University Centre of the Westfjords University Centre) are the preferred applicants.  Projects should aim at results regarding specific research, innovation and development for a firm, industry sector or the whole economy. The projects should be specifically regarding the development of the region’s economy and society.   Direct co-operation with at least on firm/agencies/institution within the region is required.  It can also be a partner that is located outside the Westfjords region, but has a mandate to further develop the region and its economy. The projects should be a final projects in graduate studies (e.g. BSc or BA) or final projects in post graduate studies (MSc, MBA, MRM, MA, PhD or other equivalent studies).    ...
