Extension studies in Music Performance

Course Information

The Extensions Studies in Music Performance is designed to further your skills as soloist or in an ensemble in a professional setting, after the completion of Bachelor in Music Performance.
The student is expected to acquire knowledge, skills and competence that clearly marks an improvement from the Bachelor level. The programme is based on a combination of one-to-one tuition and ensemble groups. This will vary in the different subjects chosen. The learning environment is varied and will consist of teaching from your main teacher, ensemble (projects), individual rehearsing and cooperation with Bjergsted Culture Park partners.

Access requirements: 

A completed Bachelor Degree in Music Performance (minimum 180 ECTS) is required. At least 90 ECTS of the Bachelor programme must consist of music performance subjects.

All applicants to music performance studies need to make an audition programme for 45 minutes repertoire. The program must contain samples from styles and genres relevant to the instrument. The entrance auditions will be arranged in week 10 each year. Applicants from outside of the Nordic countries may submit a video.
