    The discipline InterMedia deals with creative tasks in media production. Of special relevance are design of visual communication, design in open environments and design in synthetic, multi-dimensional environments. The master's programme lasts four semesters and includes the following subjects: Focus project 1, project seminar, visual media studies (1st semester); Media project workshop (2 out of 5 must be chosen: video, photography, print, interactive media, computer animation), focus workshop, compulsory electives (2nd semester); focus project 2, design research, thesis seminar, focus seminar 2 (3rd semester); master’s thesis, Innovation as a market chance, focus workshop 2 (4th semester).   2. Communication, Media, Sound and Interaction Design

    The master’s programme focuses on the design of media content as well as communication and interaction processes. The whole education is complemented by project assignments which are provided for in the curriculum. The intensive “real world projects” in the form of cooperations with the Creative Industries but also with cultural institutions such as festivals, media centres, etc. enable students an intensive collaboration with renowned organisations and companies already during their studies. In the course of their studies students thus have the opportunity to establish contacts with potential clients and employers. Towards the end of the degree programme students have to write a thesis in the framework of a special seminar.   3. Exhibition Design

    Im Zentrum der Ausbildung steht die Vermittlung gestalterischer und technologischer Kompetenzen, insbesondere die Konzeption und Realisation von historischen, kulturhistorischen und naturwissenschaftlichen Ausstellungen, sowie die Gestaltung von Kunstausstellungen. Im Rahmen des Masterstudiums wird in Form von Themenblöcken unterrichtet, welche den etablierten arbeitsteiligen Prozessen im modernen Ausstellungs- und Museumswesen entsprechen. Anhand der Blöcke „Exhibition Studies“, „Product Presentation“, „Museum Studies“ und „Technische Grundlagen“ soll das Erlernen von theoretischen und praktischen Voraussetzungen gesichert werden. Projektarbeiten in Kooperation mit internationalen und lokalen musealen Institutionen und Einrichtungen werden somit stark ins Studium integriert.
