    Objective(s) of a study programme: To provide conditions for a student to form skills of expertise assessment and application of the newest knowledge in biology and recreation, while creatively blending theoretical knowledge of these areas and results of scientific research in professional activities. To develop competence of studying individuals to organise and carry out activities based on independent research of the applied character on biological diversity carried out in natural and anthropogenic systems, as well as to implement innovations when managing recreational activities. To stimulate students‘ creativity and systemic thinking, to act under hardly forecasted environmental changes, when abilities to make new, sustainable, socially responsible decisions needed to meet demands of biological resources and people‘s recreation, to estimate their alternatives and possible social, ethical and moral consequences of activities.     Future ecologists study ecology of populations, zoology of invertebrates, zoology of vertebrates, general chemistry, organic chemistry, environmental chemistry, environmental law, etc. The total number of studied subjects is 60. Practical training is organized in two stages: educational practical training is intended not only for practical application of theoretical knowledge of botany and zoology, but it also gives students the possibility to familiarize themselves with the landscape, relations between live organisms and the environment, and influence of environmental factors (pollution) to organisms.
