A network of centres linking together the Careers Guidance systems in Europe euroguidance promotes mobility, helping guidance counsellors and individuals to better understand the opportunities available to European citizens throughout Europe.
The Degree in Social Education trains professionals in the field of social education, enabling them to intervene in several areas such as animation, in the development of projects within the community in general and organisations working on integration, recreation and insertion.

The Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (IPL) is present in the cities of Leiria (campi 1, 2 and 5), Caldas da Rainha (campus 3) and Peniche (campus 4), its mission is to promote knowledge, create, transmit and disseminate culture, science, technology and arts, guided research and experimental development. The School of Education and Social Sciences (ESECS/IPL) develops its training activity in the areas of Human and Social Sciences, Communication and Teacher Training. It also develops a broad and diverse set of research activities and community-related activities, within its areas of competence.
