    Doctoral Programme in Biomedicine and Biotechnology Doctoral program in biomedicine and biotechnology is a uniquely multidisciplinary doctoral program which focuses on molecular biology, biomedicine, biotechnology, bioinformatics, cell biology, tissue technology, medical technology, biosensor technology and systems biology. Program offers high-level education in the above-mentioned areas and the graduates are competitive researchers and experts in Finland and abroad.     The aim of this doctoral programme is to prepare students for operations in the specialised fields of information and interactive media research. Research in Information studies focuses on the ways in which information is acquired, managed and used under different circumstances, and the organisation, mediation and storage of information. Studies develop concepts, methods and systems that enable information to be easily accessible and understandable to those who need it. The key research areas are information retrieval, information and media practices, and information and records management. The Master’s Degree Programme in Biomedical Technology at BioMediTech, University of Tampere, provides interdisciplinary education that combines natural sciences and technology with a specific focus on subject areas that have potential to advance human health.     Matematiikalla ja tilastotieteellä on keskeinen rooli nyky-yhteiskunnan perustassa. Teknologian kehitys on entisestään korostanut matemaattisen ja tilastotieteellisen tiedon tarvetta ja samalla mahdollistanut uusia sovelluksia eri tieteenaloilla ja käytännön asiayhteyksissä. Matematiikan ja tilastotieteen tutkinto-ohjelma valmistaa opiskelijat matematiikan ja tilastotieteen asiantuntemusta vaativiin julkisen ja yksityisen sektorin tutkimus-, suunnittelu- ja opetustehtäviin sekä matemaattisten aineiden aineenopettajan tehtäviin.     Theoretical and practical courses of the programme will be given by the two universities in Turku (Åbo Akademi University and University of Turku).     När du inleder studierna i höst deltar du i en introduktionsvecka där du får bekanta dig med universitetets campus i centrala Åbo och träffa forskare, lärare och professorer vid de naturvetenskapliga ämnena. Du blir tilldelad en egen tutor, som är en studerande vid samma utbildningsprogram som du, och en egenlärare som är en anställd lärare och forskare vid universitetet. Efter introduktionsveckan börjar du läsa grundstudier. Alla som studerar vid den naturvetenskapliga utbildningslinjen sammanstrålar under den första hösten i en gemensam introduktionskurs. I kursen kombineras naturvetenskapliga arbeten med träning i grundläggande studiefärdigheter.
