Course Information

In a globalized world, with growing social diversity and increasing international migration, social workers face new challenges and demands. Students spend one semester at each university and select among the institutions for the fourth semester thesis. Partner institutions are the University of Aalborg (Denmark) and the University of Umeå (Sweden).

Through in-depth knowledge and understanding of the comprehensive Nordic social welfare model, students will enhance the international and comparative discourses on social work practices within different welfare regimes. Students will be prepared to assume roles of supervisors and leaders in the global arena of social work and welfare.
