    The Health Sciences discipline teaches broad business administration knowledge and advanced understanding of the healthcare sector. The modular structure of the master’s programme in Health Sciences is to guarantee theoretical foundation and practice relation and a high degree of topicality of the contents of the modules. The degree programme is divided into the modules of quality management (e.g. fundamentals of quality assurance, quality assurance in hospitals), strategic business management (e.g. basics of strategic business management and corporate management), behaviour studies and communication (e.g. basics of communication, conflict management), law (e.g. labour law, hospital law), information systems in healthcare and project management (e.g. information systems – basics, types of information system management), financial management (e.g. investment management, budgeting), public health (e.g. healthcare policy, healthcare planning and preventive medicine), applied social research and methodology (e.g. methodologies, data collection techniques), empirical health research (e.g. biostatistics, epidemiology) as well as a specialisation subject.   10. Physiotherapy

    Der physiotherapeutische Dienst umfasst die eigenverantwortliche Anwendung aller physiotherapeutischen Maßnahmen. Hierzu gehören mechanotherapeutische Maßnahmen, alle Arten von Heilmassagen, Reflexzonentherapien, Lymphdrainagen, Ultraschalltherapie, alle elektro-, thermo-, photo-, hydro- und balneotherapeutischen Maßnahmen sowie berufsspezifische Befundungsverfahren und die Mitwirkung bei elektrodiagnostischen Untersuchungen. Das Studium besteht aus mehreren Modulen. Im ersten Semester werden fachlich-methodische Grundlagen, physiotherapeutisches Handlungswissen und berufsspezifische Selbstkompetenzen vermittelt, damit die Grundlage für das Studieren geschaffen ist. Anschließend erlernen die Studierenden spezielle physiotherapeutische und klinische Inhalte des Bewegungssystems, des Organsystems und der Bewegungsentwicklung und –kontrolle. Die Wahlpflichtmodule bieten die Möglichkeiten des Erwerbs zusätzlicher berufsspezifischer Qualifikationen an. Hierbei können die Studierenden aus vier angebotenen Modulen zwei wählen. Nach dem zweiten Semester ist ein Orientierungspraktikum von zwei Wochen und in den letzten zwei Semestern jeweils ein Berufspraktikum zu absolvieren.
