    Studijų programos tikslas(-ai): Studijų programos „Medijos ir komunikacija“ tikslas – rengti aukštos kvalifikacijos komunikacijos specialistus, kurie būtų įgiję naujausių mokslo krypties teorinių žinių, reikalingų praktinių įgūdžių ir jų taikymo mokslo tikslais patirties, savo veikloje remtųsi bendražmogiškomis vertybėmis ir etinėmis normomis, sugebėtų pertvarkyti esamas komunikacijos sistemas ir kurti įvairių medijų naudojimu pagrįstas komunikacijos strategijas. Studijų programos tikslai: 1. Teikti žinių apie įvairias medijų ir komunikacijos sampratas, medijų rūšis, medijų raidą ir kaitą istoriniu aspektu, medijų išraiškos specifikas komunikacijos procesuose, komunikacijos mokslo raidą, specifinius mokslinius tyrimus ir tyrimo metodus. 2. Teikti žinių apie medijų ir komunikacijos sąsajas, jų išraiškos bei dermės galimybes rinkodaroje, tarpkultūrinės ir strateginės komunikacijos, politiniuose procesuose, valdant medijas ir praktinių įgūdžių tas žinias įgyvendinti. 3.
