    Objective(s) of a study programme: English for business study programme objectives are to prepare professionals who are able to communicate in English language in various business situations, to prepare business documents in English and Lithuanian language, monitor and mediate among business enterprises and foreign clients, to collect and analyse data necessary for solving professional problems, to communicate and cooperate with business partners in Lithuania and abroad, to develop the need for constant learning and development.     Programą sudaro šie dalykų blokai: I. KALBOTYROS (kalbotyros įvadas, šiuolaikinių anglų ir rusų kalbų kursų teorinės dalys). Jo tikslas - klasikinių kalbotyros žinių perteikimas. II.     Objective(s) of a study programme: The mission of the LCC English Language and Literature study program is to empower students to achieve their career goals in language related fields. Through training in rhetoric, oral and written communication, linguistics, literary analysis, and translation, students learn life-long skills in using English, or any language, to teach, persuade, and delight.   4. English philology

    The curriculum for BA in English Philology consists of three core segments: general education disciplines, study field disciplines and specialised (professional) disciplines. General education disciplines offer courses in logic, philosophy, psychology etc. Study field disciplines include linguistics and literary theory, classical and Western literature etc. The segment of specialised disciplines takes up the major part of the curriculum and includes such subjects as English literature, British history, Modern English lexicology, stylistics, language history, contemporary English etc. The latter subsumes a number of aspects, such as phonetics, grammar, writing and various discourses (political, economic, legal, academic etc.). At the end of the studies, a BA thesis has to be completed and defended in public. Practical work is integrated into some disciplines (e.g. translation) and also offered as a period of internship lasting four weeks and carried out in institutions outside the university.
