    Definition A three-year academic and applied research-oriented graduate programme in computer science at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, School of Engineering and Natural Sciences of the University of Iceland. The programme is 210 ECTS credits and comprises at least 30 ECTS in courses and a 180 ECTS in a research project. Admission requirements are a research oriented MS degree or equivalent. Graduates from related disciplines can be admitted on fulfilling supplementary requirements. Knowledge, competence and skills On completion of the doctorate examination the student shall have gained the following competence in addition to that gained at previous levels. 1.
