Erasmus+ Learning Opportunities financed by EU grants

Erasmus+ is the EU programme for education, training, youth and sport for 2014-2020.The Erasmus+ programme aims to boost skills and employability, as well as modernising Education, Training, and Youth work. The seven year programme will have a budget of €14.7 billion; a 40% increase compared to current spending levels, reflecting the EU's commitment to investing in these areas.

Erasmus+: Key Action 1 (KA1) within the Erasmus+ Programme provides mobility opportunities for individuals to improve their skills enhance their employability and gain cultural awareness. Funding opportunities under Erasmus+ KA1 cover:

  • Mobility for higher education students and staff

  • Mobility for VET learners and staff

  • Mobility for school staff

  • Mobility for adult education staff

  • Mobility for young people and youth workers

KA1 provides mobility opportunities for Croatian citizens going abroad, as well as mobility opportunities for foreign learners and staff coming to Croatia. For more information please contact your National agency implementing the Erasmus+ ProgrammeBilateral programmes of mobility in higher education are based on bilateral agreements and programmes involving scholarship exchange. Through bilateral programmes the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes, in cooperation with the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, annually offers an average of 400 scholarships for foreign students and researchers at Croatian higher education or research institutions. Based on bilateral educational cooperation, students from the following countries are eligible for scholarships in Croatia: Belgium (Flanders), Bulgaria, China, Germany (Bavaria), Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine. CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Programme for Unviersity Students) is and academic exchange programme for students and university teachers from Central Europe (Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo (the University of Prishtina),  Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia, the Slovak Republic and Slovenia) based on multilateral cooperation agreements in the fields of education and research. Further information about award criteria, application and scholarships for incoming students and teaching staff can be found here.
