The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is a translation tool that helps communication and comparison between qualifications systems in Europe. Its eight common European reference levels are described in terms of learning outcomes: knowledge, skills and competences. This allows any national qualifications systems, national qualifications frameworks (NQFs) and qualifications in Europe to relate to the EQF levels. Learners, graduates, providers and employers can use these levels to understand and compare qualifications awarded in different countries and by different education and training systems.

    - to acquire the basics of natural sciences and social sciences enabling to understand processes that are going on in nature and in the society; - to acquire basic theoretical knowledge in all branches of the geographical science; - to master the applied knowledge and study practical skills in the applied geography; - to acquire the basics of geographical research methods and master practical working skills in the field investigation; - to carry out independent research (not less than 15 weeks or for the total amount of 15 credit points ) in the selected branch of geography and present the result in a Bachelor's thesis.
