The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is a translation tool that helps communication and comparison between qualifications systems in Europe. Its eight common European reference levels are described in terms of learning outcomes: knowledge, skills and competences. This allows any national qualifications systems, national qualifications frameworks (NQFs) and qualifications in Europe to relate to the EQF levels. Learners, graduates, providers and employers can use these levels to understand and compare qualifications awarded in different countries and by different education and training systems.

  8. Bachelor of Humanities in Asian Studies (LU)

    The student has mastered the basics of one of the Asian languages, acquired the theory of culture and history of Asia, introduction to philosophy, the history and literature of Asian civilizations, anthropology and religion, has been trained in scholarly research in the field of Asian regional studies, and defended corresponding BA thesis. The goal of the Bachelor’s Study Programme in Asian Studies (hereinafter BSP Asian Studies) is subordinate to four main goals of higher education, namely, to solve the tasks of personality, democratic society and scientific development and to meet the labour market requirements. It also aims to provide opportunities for the acquisition of academic education, which is based on the research of Asian region languages and cultures in order to (1) prepare graduates of BSP for further MA studies, which foresees the acquisition of additional academic degree.
