    The Master's programme aims to familiarise students with the challenges of multilingualism and multiculturalism in education, communication in the workplace and new media. Students will develop in-depth knowledge of scientific research in these fields and will work with a range of methodological tools used for conducting independent research projects. The programme focuses on five areas: research approaches; language and education; organizational discourse and business communication; globalization, digital Media and Migration; and languages. This programme includes also a work placement, a symposium and lectures given by internationally renowned external experts.   2. Master en Gérontologie (professionnel)

    Le Master en Gérontologie est une formation à mi-temps qui se déroule sur 4 années et peut être suivi en cours d’emploi. Elle comprend les deux sections suivantes : L’entité M1 (60 ECTS) est réalisée au cours des deux premières années de formation. Elle est validée par un « Diplôme Universitaire en Gérontologie » ; le module est axé sur les formations antérieures des candidat(e)s, ainsi que sur leurs expériences sociales et professionnelles.   3. Master in Geography and Spatial Planning (académique)

    The Master in Geography and Spatial Planning is designed to respond to the growing need for highly qualified experts that can embrace the multi- dimensionality and complexity of the evolution of cities and regions, reflecting global changes and local dynamics. The programme addresses key social, economic and environmental challenges with a geographical and multi-scalar perspective. It provides a unique combination of academic courses and practical work. The student will learn to identify and explain conceptual and theoretical models and work with geographic information systems, computer-aided cartography, statistical tools as well as qualitative assessment and survey methods. The Master of Geography and Spatial Planning combines both the strength of a very integrated programme via a set of common mandatory courses, and the strength of a flexible programme via specialisation options from the second semester on.     The principal objective of the Master in European Governance is to educate experts in European public policy, providing an advanced-level training in Political Science complemented by a wider interdisciplinarity.   5. Master en Etudes Franco-Allemandes: Communication et Coopération Transfrontalières (professionnel)

    La formation du Master en Communication et Coopération Transfrontalières vise à former des diplômé(e)s capables de communiquer et d’agir avec compétence dans un contexte de coopération transfrontalière et internationale (compétences communicationnelle et interculturelle). Elle se caractérise par son programme d’études interdisciplinaires et l’organisation des cours dans trois pays différents (universités de Sarrebruck, de Metz et de Luxembourg). La première année de master (M1) se déroule à l'Université Paul Verlaine à Metz, la deuxième année (M2) à l'Université de la Sarre avec des périodes de formation groupées à l’Université du Luxembourg au second semestre de chaque année.     Der Master „Theaterwissenschaft und Interkulturalität“ bietet auf besondere Weise die Möglichkeit, Theaterwissenschaft in interkultureller Perspektive zu studieren. Er vermittelt theoretisches, historisches und institutionelles Wissen in diesen Bereichen und befähigt zur Analyse und Untersuchung diverser Formen des Theaters und seiner Texte. Die Lernveranstaltungen des mehrsprachigen Studiengangs werden auf deutsch und fallweise auf französisch und englisch durchgeführt.     The Master in Border Studies provides students with the major concepts and analytical tools to understand the social, cultural, political and economic challenges of border regions and cross-border cooperations. Students gain theoretical knowledge of border problems, border cultures, border literatures and constructions of “otherness”.
