Course Information

The goals of the study program are as follows:
• To inspire the students on the fields that they have chosen to study and create for them an interesting and productive learning experience.
• To develop knowledge, understanding and skills in informatics & telecommunications and related fields.
• To provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills, in order to enable the to become proficient scientists.
• To offer to students the opportunity to study the most up-to-date and cutting-edge scientific and technological developments in informatics & telecommunications.
• To provide education and training through a multitude of teaching activities, in order to achieve the development of skills that can be applied both in research and professional careers.
• To prepare students for further research and practice in informatics & telecommunications.
• To provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills, in order to enable them to formulate solutions with strong scientific foundations to problems in the areas of informatics & telecommunications.

The studies programme provides a comprehensive and solid scientific background on informatics & telecommunications, and additionally offers specialization courses in various. The areas covered include computer hardware and architecture, software and its engineering, information systems, theoretical foundations, human-computing interaction, computing methodologies, applied computing, communications, networking and signal processing. The study programme also addresses topics on pedagogics and scientific and professional ethics.
